On June 20, the global community will observe World Refugee Day. Searing scenes of migrants escaping dire situations at home only to meet terrifying natural and manmade barriers are playing out across the globe. Yet, native-born citizens feel ill-equipped and deeply anxious about their communities’ ability to absorb these waves of people. Not surprisingly, the immigration debate has become one of the most important of our time.
